Tratto da un manga omonimo,Tokyo Tribe è un opera visionaria del cineasta giapponese Shion Sono , un film che non ha genere vero e proprio,si può forse definire come un Gangster movie che si scontra con un film a base di Hip Hop in un mondo che sembra appena uscito dalle pagine di un fumetto,un folle caos visivo e sonoro,fatto di colori vividi e azione frenetica di personaggi pazzi e depravati e musica incessante,quasi tutto ambientato in una sola notte,quella che cambierà il volto di Tokyo.
Un delirio in cui Sono estremizza il maschilismo (presente in modo molto pesante nella cultura nipponica)il nudo femminile e la mercificazione della donna sono largamente presenti nella pellicola cosi come l’edonismo dell’uomo;che scatena una guerra contro tutto il proprio mondo perchè un altro uomo…lo ha più lungo di lui .

La pellicola ha una durata vicina alle 2 ore,ma è frenetico e visionario al punto che lo spettatore potrebbe non rendersi conto della sua effettiva durata,Tokyo Tribe è in grado di unire scene con una CGI pessima con un carro armato che derapa!!!!!!ad altre che dimostrano un grado di ricercatezza fuori dal comune come la stanza dai mobili umani , per poi virare in momenti trash tipo pistole dorate usate come telefono o stragi fatte con un minigun,prendete tutto questo ed immergetelo in una vasca fatta di citazioni che spaziano da Kill Bill ad Arancia Meccanica.
Purtroppo non essendo madrelingua ho dovuto ricorrere a dei sottotitoli inglesi per la visione,questo influisce moltissimo in quando ovviamente con la traduzione si perdono le rime,un film perfetto per coloro che adorano le opere grottesche e non comuni,ma se cercate qualcosa di riflessivo o avete problemi con la cultura hip hop skippate alla prossima traccia.
