Ikigami è un film drammatico giapponese del 2008 che vede alla regia Tomoyuki Takimoto; tratto dall’omonimo manga uscito dal 2004 fino al 2012.
La storia si svolge in un mondo utopico dove non ci sono guerre, tuttavia lo stato condanna a morte 1 cittadino su 1000 fra i 18 ed i 24 anni , lo scopo di queste uccisioni sarebbe quello di aumentare la loro motivazione e fargli vivere ogni giorno come se fosse l’ultimo, i “prescelti ” infatti vivono senza sapere di essere destinati a morire,ad ogni ragazzo viene fatto un vaccino speciale il primo giorno di scuola e in alcuni di essi sarà presente una capsula che il giorno predestinato farà esplodere il cuore, trattati alla stregua di eroi nazionali ,questi ragazzi verranno informati del loro destino solo 24 ore prima ed in questo ultimo giorno avranno diritti particolari ,mentre alla loro famiglia verrà corrisposta una pensione speciale .
Kengo Fujimoto è il protagonista ,lui ha superato i 24 anni ,ed ha iniziato il suo lavoro come Ikigami, ovvero colui che è incaricato di consegnare le lettere di morte ai predestinati,lui sarà il perno intorno al quale gireranno i 3 episodi di questo film,storie che ci mostrano le ultime 24 ore di alcuni personaggi,la diversità delle loro reazioni e l’impatto che le loro storie avranno su Kengo stesso.
Un film sulla morte che esalta il valore della vita stessa,con un tratto leggero tipico del sol levante e tutta la loro “passione” per il sacrificio per il bene maggiore , ma contemporaneamente ci mostra l’astio nei confronti di questa legge che come uno spettro colpisce invisibile e forse insensata spazzando via i sogni di questi ragazzi.
Il protagonista durante lo svolgersi delle sue consegne vedrà crescere dentro di se dubbi sull’effettiva giustezza di questa legge,ci verranno mostrati soprattutto tramite le riprese fatte da telecamere di sorveglianza,che inquadreranno strategicamente le espressioni del messaggero ,sempre più vicino a compiere quello che è considerato reato di pensiero ( che fa tanto 1984)
Un comparto musicale non opprimente,la regia è toccante e lenta ,tutto si muove all’unisono con l’intento di smuovere le lacrime toccando le giuste corde di amicizia,amore e ribellione.Sul cast trovo difficoltà ad esprimermi,recitano tutti bene il loro ruolo ,ma sulle vere abilità di recitazione dei nipponici non so dare un giudizio.
Un must see per gli amanti delle pellicole toccanti e un po’ deprimenti ma in generale un film consigliato per tutti quelli che ogni tanto apprezzano uscire dal solito cinema.
