Negli scorsi giorni si è tornati a parlare di uno dei franchise classici più sfruttati della fantascienza cinematografica, Alien , lo Xenomorfo protagonista solitario di 4 film tra il 79 ed il 97 ,più gli spin off condivisi con Predator, protagonista anche di uno sconfinato numero di videogiochi e fumetti.
Questa volta l’argomento però non sarà la serie prequel Prometheus ( di cui comunque è in preparazione il secondo episodio) ma il vero e proprio quinto capitolo , da anni vociferato a corrente alterna e che ora sembra aver trovato gli spunti giusti per ripartire,idee che si sono concretizzate al pubblico grazie al Sud Africano Neill Blomkamp il talentuoso regista è uno che vive di fantascienza come dimostrano i film sul suo curriculum,District 9 , Elysium ed il più recente Chappie ( da noi uscirà come Humandroid).
Però alcune cose sembrano preoccupare realmente i fan di questa saga ,vediamo quali possono essere le preoccupazioni su questo alien 5:
Dove ambientarlo?
La saga dello Xenomorfo ha vissuto i suoi anni migliori nello spazio fra pianeti sconosciuti e astronavi spaziali ,nonostante nella preparazione di tutti gli script per i film si sia pensato di portare la trama sulla terra;gli unici film ambientati sul nostro pianeta sono gli spin-off con predator , Neill però ha sempre ambientato le sue precedenti avventure qui e se ha potuto ha sempre scelto casa sua per organizzare i set ,ma l’alien sarà a suo agio sul pianeta azzurro??
L’universo espanso??
Non stiamo parlando di nulla di mastodontico come nel caso di Star Wars ,ma l’universo Alien si è anch’esso espanso,basti pensare ai fumetti editi dalla Dark Horse che narrano storie fino ad ora da considerarsi canoniche,storie che nell’ultimo periodo addirittura hanno lavorato di fino per colmare il vuoto Prometheus\Alien ,cosi come va considerata anche la parte d’universo mostrata nei Alien vs Predator.Oltre all’universo cartaceo c’e da considerare anche quello videoludico, che ha visto recentemente il suo apice con Alien Isolation,ambientato fra i primi 2 capitoli della saga cinematografica,vede protagonista la figlia di Ellen Rypley,anche questa storia fino ad ora è considerata parte dell’universo canonico, addirittura potrebbe fornire linfa e spunti per questa nuova avventura,la sceneggiatura terrà in considerazione tutto questo??
2 progetti 2 tempi 1 universo , filerà tutto liscio??
Nonostante un buon 80% dei fan della saga al nome Prometheus metta le dita nelle orecchie ed urli BLA BLA BLA BLA per non sentire, questa saga è da considerarsi ambientata nello mondo della Nostromo,avremo quindi quasi contemporaneamente lo sviluppo di 2 progetti cinematografici che dovrebbero legarsi in punti diversi della storia , Neill quindi dovrà considerare anche la mitologia di questa serie per lo sviluppo di questo 5 episodio,considerando anche lo script del secondo capitolo che è in lavorazione ,per evitare goffe e spiacevoli inconsistenze narrative che minerebbero il suo operato.
Oppure addirittura potrebbe sfruttare alcuni elementi dei prequel per rafforzare il legame fra le opere e rispondere a quesiti lasciati in sospeso,chi sopravviverà vedrà.
Il ritorno di Hick?
Fra le concept art che Blomkamp ha usato per stimolare la produzione ad annunciare questo lavoro,alcuni riguardano un personaggio che sembra ricordare il caporale Hick,personaggio interpretato da Michael Biehn nel secondo capitolo,che rimane tagliato fuori da una morte off screen nel terzo .
Ma se è realmente morto…perchè il regista mostra questi concept ?? è stato salvato ?che anche lui abbia subito una clonazione ??
Capitolo Ripley
Altro dubbio pesante quello che riguarda il personaggio interpretato da Sigourney Weaver e che insieme all’alieno rappresenta il cuore dell’intera quadrilogia,il futuro regista , che ha lavorato con lei in Chappie ,ha mostrato l’attrice nei suoi concept,la quale tuttavia non ha ancora firmato per nessun nuovo film,tutti i fan sono fiduciosi ma …quale Ripley vedremo??
Già perchè il personaggio vero e proprio ci ha lasciato nel 3 , in Alien la Clonazione abbiamo a che fare con per l’appunto un suo clone,sarà ancora lei la protagonista??
Alcune voci intanto iniziano a parlare di strane teorie su operazioni di Retcon atte a cancellare il capitolo 4 dall’universo, se non addirittura anche il 3,trovando un altra via per usare i personaggi principali, che in parte eviterebbe anche il precedente Hick clonato, una specie di X-men:giorni di futuro passato ma con più alieni.
