In un futuro prossimo un esplosione atomica distrugge new york,qui troviamo un gruppo di 10 persone ( 7 uomini,2 donne ed una bambina) che al momento dell’evento erano in uno stabile,e trovano rifugio in un bunker che il paranoico Mickey aveva costruito nel sottosuolo; con il passare del tempo però le cose precipiteranno…
Questo film di fantascienza post apocalittica vede alla regia Xavier Gens( Frontiers,Hitman) ,il quale compie egregiamente il suo lavoro ,lascia trasparire tutto il suo pessimismo nei confronti dell essere uomini mostrandolo attraverso la trasformazione che i personaggi prendono durante le quasi 2 ore di film;la paranoia li plasmerà in maniera sempre più incontrollabile,rendendo crudeli,spietati,folli alcuni sopravvissuti, mentre i deboli fra di essi si arrenderanno alla situazione,e diventeranno succubi dei forti ; tutto mostrato in maniera cruda e malata dal regista ,che sapientemente utilizza lo splatter per colpire l’occhio dello spettatore.
[banner size=”468X60″]L’ambientazione chiusa amplifica lo stato di paranoia alla perfezione,quello che doveva tenere il pericolo fuori,in realtà ne crea altro dentro,non vi saranno possibilità di fuga per le persone all’interno,verranno seppellite dentro destinate a morire nell’ignoranza di ciò che accaduto fuori.
Già proprio questo punto particolareggia in parte questa pellicola,il non sapere come tutto ha avuto inizio e nemmeno cosa succede fuori da quel bunker; in tutto il film solo una volta ci viene mostrato qualcosa di non appartenente al bunker,persone che arriveranno dall’esterno per colpire i sopravvissuti e prendere loro la bambina per esperimenti…il loro scopo??la loro provenienza??tutto rimane nel taccuino dello sceneggiatore ,deludendo quel ramo di cinefili che si nutre di background.
L’unica cosa che si sa su ciò che è accaduto all’esterno
un film a tratti fin disturbante nella sua crudezza,per palati abituati al genere; altrimenti si corre il rischio dello shock facile ,in grado di non far apprezzare a pieno la pellicola.
credo renda l’idea del livello in cui i personaggi arrivano in questa pellicola
