Un nuovo serial drammatico per USA Network ,l’emittente che recentemente ci ha regalato la miniserie Dig, la storia segue Elliot un giovane programmatore che lavora nel campo della cyber-sicurezza di giorno e come hacker vigilante di notte la sua vita giunge a un bivio quando il misterioso leader di un gruppo di pirati informatici capitanati dal misterioso Mr Robot lo ingaggia per distruggere la società per cui lavora,il tutto è reso ancora più complicato dal fatto che Elliot soffre di disturbi mentali e potrebbe vedere cose che non ci sono.
Le premesse per un’interessante serie thriller con risvolti psicologici sembrano esserci tutte,a dirigere il pilot troviamo Niels Arden Oplev che ha già diretto il primo episodio di Under the Dome mentre alla scrittura troviamo Sam Esmail (Mockingbird) alla sua prima volta nel campo delle serie TV,l’attore protagonista sarà Rami Malek ( il faraone della saga Una Notte al Museo) mentre Mr Robot è interpretato da Christian Slater(Robin Hood il principe dei ladri) oltre a loro nel cast troviamo Michael Gill (House of Cards),Gloria Reuben (ER, The Blacklist) e Bruce Altman (Elementary).
La messa in onda di questa serie è prevista per il 24 Giugno ma l’episodio pilota in lingua originale è già disponibile nel web ( nessun Leak o fuga di episodi in questo caso).
