Dan Bush è il regista dietro la macchia da presa per questo film Sci-fi ricco di sentimenti intitolato The reconstruction of William Zero ed uscito nel 2015,la pellicola parla di un genetista che si sveglia dal coma in possesso di solo qualche frammento di ricordo e costretto ad imparare chi è da suo fratello gemello,ma non tutto è come sembra.
Cosi come il protagonista anche il film sembra soffrire di confusione,vuole essere originale e complesso ma il risultato sembra riuscire solo a metà,gli amanti della fantascienza infatti fiuteranno fin dai primi minuti il profumo di uno dei colpi a sorpresa che Dan ha in serbo per noi,in generale la trama risulterà comunque molto prevedibile in alcuni punti,nemmeno l’esplorazione del tema cardine delle vicende,la clonazione,verrà molto approfondita ed il che è un grandissimo peccato visto che le premesse per “giocare”con la situazione c’erano tutte.
Conal Byrne da solo interpreta metà dei personaggi,oltre che essere co-scrittore della trama e co-produttore dell’intero film.la sua presenza in scena è pressoché totale ma forse non era molto adatto per comparire anche contemporaneamente in più ruoli,spesso infatti solo i vestiti permetto di distinguere i personaggi,anche quando ben altre caratteristiche dovrebbero svolgere tale compito,nel cast oltre Byrne troviamo una comparsa anche per Amy Seimetz(Sacrament) nel ruolo della ex moglie Jules e per Melissa McBride la Carol di Walking dead .
In generale un film che ho trovato a malapena sufficiente,adatto ad una serata tranquilla,forse una di quelle idee che se date in mano al regista giusto o allo sceneggiatore giusto avrebbero reso decisamente meglio.
