Se siete amanti di quel filone di commedie demenziali in stile una notte da leoni\project x e similari, allora forse questa serie TV ha qualcosa da dirvi , Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life è infatti sulla loro stessa lunghezza d’onda, nata dalla mente di Jay Lacopo(Bartok the Magnificent ) con una prima serie di 13 episodi da circa 20 minuti trasmessa su Fox.
La serie segue le folli e poco sensate avventure di 3 coinquilini alle prese con il diventare “adulti”, Cooper Barrett il “capobanda” , Barry il più imprevedibile e Neal il tipico secchione con problemi di cuore, insieme a loro abbiamo altri 3 personaggi fondamentali ovvero Kelly la vicina di casa dei 3 e poi Josh e Lesie ovvero il fratello maggiore di Cooper (e apparentemente diversissimo da lui) e sua moglie .
Ogni episiodio è un avventura autoconclusiva, un come sopravvivere a quella situazione che normalmente parte mostrandoci parte della situazione e poi ricostruendo pian piano come siamo arrivati a quello che sembra essere un punto di non ritorno per poi proseguire e mostrarci come ne sono usciti,ovviamente nonostante la natura “autonoma” degli episodi le situazioni cambiano e crescono da un episodio e l’altro.
Come detto precedentemente un cast risicato,Jack Cutmore-Scott (Kingsman) è Cooper poi ci sonoJames Earl (Glee) ,Charlie Saxton (Hung ragazzo squillo),Meaghan Rath (Being Human),Liza Lapira ( Non fidarti della S*****a dell’interno 23) e la “punta di diamante” del cast ovvero Justin Bartha (Doug di Una Notte da Leoni 1,2,3 ) , la recitazione è buona ma ovviamente non è un parametro molto richiesto in una sitcom di questo stampo,solo un piacevole plus.

Assolutamente da vedere a cervello spento, ben pochi secondi di serietà sono concessi allo spettatore, nonostante in fondo in fondo ogni episodio possa portare qualche piccola riflessione,proprio per questo clima di eterno non sense mai troppo esagerato e quasi mai volgare per me è una buonissima serie da seguire a tempo perso, anche solo come tappabuchi.
