La serie segue le avventure di Gabriel Vaughn un agente operativo ex delta force con problemi di disciplina a cui è stato impiantato nel cervello un microchip che gli permette di accedere a tutte le reti internazionali di informazioni(tipo internet, Wi-Fi, telefoni e satelliti per dire).l’agente è parte della nuova unità cibernetica con a capo la direttrice Lillian Strand ed un team operativo composto da Riley Neal, un agente dei servizi segreti con il compito di proteggere Gabriel e dall’agente federale Chris Jameson.
A prima botta ,leggendo solo i primi rumors presenti nel web la mia mente è corsa subito ad una serie che tanto ho amato ovvero Chuck , immaginando già un remake maggiormente action con protagonista Sawyer di Lost , la mia visione fortunatamente è stata smentita fin da subito con l’episodio pilota, Intelligence è infatti una serie procedurale con una vaga venatura cyber, Gabriel non è paragonabile a Chuck sia perchè è a tutti gli effetti un soldato, sia considerando la diversa natura dei loro innesti,quelli di Sawyer Gabriel necessitano infatti della presenza reale di reti, potenzialmente è molto più simile al personaggio di Gary Bell presente nella sconosciuta ( tranne per Big Bang Theory ) serie Alphas.
Prodotta dall’emittente USA CBS , nel cast oltre al già spoilerato Josh Holloway anche Meghan Ory ( Once upon a time ) ,John Billingsley (2012) , P.J. Byrne ( The wolf of wall street) e Marg Helgenberger ( CSI )
Un mix interessante quello di Intelligence ,sviluppato in maniera fluida, ma che non è stato digerito molto bene dal pubblico ed ha visto la sua vita concludersi a fine stagione con soli 13 episodi , forse avrebbe meritato qualche attenzione in più.
