La fuga di Logan uscito nel lontano 1976 ad opera di Michael Anderson ,è una di quelle pellicole che personalmente ritengo siano immancabili per un appassionato di fantascienza, tratto da un romanzo di William F. Nolan e George Clayton Johnson questo film mixa sapientemente fantascienza e sociologia,ambientando le sue storie in un utopico mondo post nucleare del futuro dove per risolvere il problema della sovrappopolazione ogni individuo viene “rinnovato” al raggiungimento dei 30 anni.
Il film diede vita a ben 2 serie a fumetti ,una di 7 numeri sul finire degli anni 70 ed edita da Marvel mentre la seconda venne stampata durante la seconda metà degli anni 80 da parte della Malibù Graphics ,venne anche girata una serie TV che rappresentava una storia alternativa al film,durata a malapena 14 episodi.
L’idea del remake di questo cult è nell’aria fin dal finire degli anni 90,le prime vere tracce si anno nel 2000 dove si parlava di un opera molto più aderente al romanzo;dopo ben 4 anni di silenzio venne aggiunto il nome del possibile regista Bryan Singer,venne annunciata la data d’uscita per il 2005 e iniziarono i lavoro di stesura della sceneggiatura ,dopo un anno di ritardo ( ed ormai siamo al 2006) il regista disse che preferiva dare priorità al progetto Superman Returns abbandonando quindi la nave.
Dopo l’abbandono di Singer la Warner bros fece altri tentativi con svariati nomi, ricevendo molti rifiuti,ed arrivando nel 2007 a chiudere l’idea remake per ridestinare quei fondi ad un film che ne richiedeva molti (Speed Racer dei sorelli Wachowski).
Altri tentativi infruttuosi e poco conosciuti accompagnano questa travagliata vicenda fino al 2011,anno in cui venne annunciato dalla produzione l’ingaggio di un nuovo regista Nicolas Winding Refn ( Drive) ed addirittura venne fatto il nome di un attore per il ruolo da protagonista ovvero la vecchia conoscenza del regista Ryan Gosling ( Drive,le idi di marzo),poco tempo dopo venne confermato che l’attore non era interessato al progetto,ma che era stato rintracciato il nome giusto per la sceneggiatura Ken Levine,noto come il creatore della serie videoludica Bioschock.
Attualmente lo stato dei lavori non è conosciuto,tuttavia negli scorsi giorni si è parlato di una piccola svolta,probabilmente il canovaccio principale subirà un grandissimo sconvolgimento che vedrà il protagonista cambiare sesso,Logan infatti potrebbe essere una donna.
Forse si rivelerà un ottima mossa per sbloccare i lavori,visto che nell’ultimo periodo in quel di Hollywood le donne action vanno alla grandissima ,come dimostrano i successi di Hunger Games e della serie Divergent,ma anche la nuova abitudine di cambiare genere sessuali alle icone del cinema;esattamente come sta avvenendo per il prossimo GhostBuster tutto al femminile.
